Notably, Tetric N-Ceram allows for single-layer restorations in posterior teeth when the cavity thickness is up to 4 mm, streamlining the restoration process. One of its standout features is the incorporation of ‘Ivocerin,’ a patented light initiator, which significantly enhances the curing process compared to conventional initiators. This leads to faster and more efficient polymerization. To address concerns about shrinkage and shrinkage stress, a shrinkage stress reliever has been integrated, promoting the longevity and stability of the restoration. The material can be cured with light in the 400 – 500 nm wavelength range (blue light) and can be filled in 4 mm increments, optimizing efficiency and saving valuable chair time for dental practitioners.
